Nyhm’s Warcraft Guide: PvP, Leveling, Gold And Professions

I am constantly on the look-out for ways to improve my WoW game-play.  I couldn’t help but notice that everyone else seemed to be leveling up so much faster than me.  I’ve heard about the different World of Warcraft Guides available for a long time but I just wasn’t sure using a guide was right for me.  But after seeing another of my guildie friends hit level 80, I decided to give the guide route a shot.  Then one of the high level players in my guild suggested I try out Nyhm’s Guide.  I had heard about Dugi and Hayden Hawkes and Derek for a long time, but my best friend swears by Nyhm’s Warcraft Guide, so that’s where I started.

Honestly, because this is the first guide I’ve tried, I can’t attest to how it stacks up against the other popular guides on the market.  But I DO want to give you my honest feedback and personal experience using this guide in case, like me, you’re not sure what you need or where to get it when it comes to finding the best World of Warcraft guide.

Nyhm’s Warcraft Guide has given me a great basic understanding of everything from power-leveling characters to PvP strategies.  And my favorite section was hands-down the Professions Guide.  It really helped me understand the differences between the professions and why some are better for certain things than others.

Whether you play Horde or Alliance, Nyhm’s guide has the information you need to really excel in Warcraft.  This was my first time using a map mod and I was a little scared it would screw up my game, but it has worked really great.  The map mod includes details on quests, and items as well as monsters.  Not having to try to find information on online forums and blogs saved me so much time.  Leveling was ultra-quick with this guide.

WoW YouTube Videos – What NOT To Do

Have you noticed the flood of WoW YouTube Videos online lately?  All featuring angry girls deleting their boyfriends’ World of Warcraft characters?  I have personally leveled countless characters and toons and I know what kind of work and determination it takes.  So I’m asking you, ladies, please…. PLEASE stop the insanity!

If you are sick of your boyfriend, (or girlfriend… girls play WoW, or so I’ve heard), ignoring you and spending more time playing World of Warcraft than you working AND sleeping, stop and take a deep breath before you do something rash.  While it is understandable that you may want to delete your boyfriend or girlfriend’s character in order to get some more attention for yourself, (and to teach them a thing or two), that is NOT the answer.  Character deletion is probably the surest way to end the relationship.  But even if that IS what you want, please consider more humane ways of doing it.

Despite what the WoW YouTube Videos of character deletions will tell you, there ARE better ways to dealing with the situation.  Keep in mind that the World of Warcraft can be a very exciting environment in which to “escape” things that may be bothering your significant other in the “real world.”  Make sure that YOU are not one of those things by taking a good hard look at YOUR side of the relationship.  Are you pushing him further and further into his game world by making the “real world” unbearable?

If your relationship is otherwise healthy and happy, just talk to your boyfriend about his WoW addiction.  Ask him to explain the game to you.  Plenty of women play Warcraft too, (*cough* Hayden Hawke *cough*), so why not give it a try?  Then you can at least see you boyfriend, (well… his character at least) in a virtual world, if you’re not seeing him enough in the real world.  Maybe you can join WAA, (WoW Addicts Anonymous), together.

When all else fails, try making some WoW YouTube Videos of your own, only instead of deleting your boyfriend’s character, WOW him with something more entertaining.
